John David Stanhope

It is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay too little.

When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the item you bought was incapable of doing what it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it cant be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better.

John Ruskin ... 1819-1900

Polycarbonate multi- wall roof sheeting has an impact resistance 200 times greater than glass roofs. It also comes with glazing bars than can accomodate the different thicknesses of each sheet. Bars can be suppported on existing timber framework for thinner sheets or self supporting bars for the thicker sheets. The correct bars and sheets can be used whether for a small porch or a large spanned swimming pool enclosure.

(1) 6mm TWIN WALL SHEETS ... 3.6 'u' value, primarily used for greenhouses and horticultural, it's neat appearance and high level of light transmission make it an attractive and very economical choice for porches and small canopies.

(2) 10mm TWIN WALL SHEETS ... 3.1 'u' value, probably the best value for money, these sheets are ideal for unheated conservatories, canopies, car ports, pedestrian walk ways and refurbishment of old glass or corrugated roofs. Clear sheets have through vision and admit the most light, whilst the white / opal sheets block through vision and give a diffused look.

(3) 16mm TRIPLE WALL SHEETS ... 2.4 'u' value, ultra violet protected triple layer sheets that offer good value, available in clear, bronze and opel white. Also a distinctive sapphire blue sheet ideally suited for roofing swimming pools and jacuzzies.

(4) 25mm 5 LAYERED SHEETS ... 1.6 'u' value, this 25mm sheet offers oustanding value for money. It is more rigid than 16mm sheets so can bridge wider spans and has a higher insulation value. Used for quality roofs that must be built to budget, this sheet is the perfect choice. Also available with a bronze / opal, bronze tint on the weather side, which acts as a reflected ceiling for artificial light at night.

(5) 25mm 5 LAYERED HEATGUARD & SUN SHIELD SHEETS ... 1.6 & 1.5 'u' value, these sheets are ideal for south facing conservatories as they are effective in reflecting the heat of the sun from making it unbearable to sit in your conservatory, this also helps to stop damage to furnishings, plants and decor, the Sun shields sheets will also keep winter warmth inside your conservatory. Also available are SUN SHIELD inserts that can be fitted to existing roofs that have 16mm, 25mm and 35mm thick polycarbonate sheets already fitted, a wide range of colours are available.

(6) 35mm 7 LAYERED SHEETS ...1.3 'u' value, this latest 35mm thick sheet with it's new 'x' formed cells, gives a 'u' value of only 1.3 which is not only the best heat insulation factor around, but also yields a high degree of sound insulation, available in clear, bronze and white.
